Ishtar 101

While I was reading about the infamous Ishtar, in The Descent of Ishtar and Epic of Gilgamesh, all that was going through my head was "Bad news! Bad news! Bad news!" She was a notorious godess of love, and she would do anything for love. Anything. Ew. In Gilgamesh, she was a force to be reckoned with and if you did, she would call "daddy" from the heavens and send something absolutely terrible after you. In the Sacred Marriage, she is portrayed as a blushing bride that is innocent on all accord. HAH! In the Descent of Ishtar, she is a woman just entering the underworld, leaving everything behind her, with no inkling of a plan to rule or something. This is a load of nonsense. I relate Ishtar to Lindsay Lohan, because they are both absolutely insane people who would do anything for love and has plans for their world, which unfortunately, is not the world we are looking for. Gilgamesh saw right through Ishtar and saw a shallow, self obsessed beast, which is exactly the way I see it. The way Gilgamesh described her and the things she has done are outragious. Ishtar is supposed to be the Goddess of love and power, but she's just coming off to be a piece of gunk on your shoe. What made her this way? why did she choose this path? We may never know.

Harry Potter!

Now everyone, I know Twilight is abuzz everywhere you look but Harry Potter is my main obsession. If anyone else is as obsessed as me, that'd be great! Finally I'll have someone to talk to! Bear in mind, I'm a die-hard Harry/Ginny fan, and no one can take that away. YAY!

Fist Day

First Day

The shrill bell echoes throughout the halls,
my feet scurry to my next class.
The school is filled with students, all laughing and chatting
about the days to come.

High School

I panic slightly,
for although I'm already there,
I feel like I'm forgetting something,
something important.

High School

The day goes on just like this,
everything at warp speed.
But I keep going...
and going...
and going...

High School

At the end of the day,
when I'm finally at ease,
I look back at the first day
of the rest of my life.

High School.
